Janet L. Attarian, AIA, City of Chicago:
Green Infrastructure for Great Cities
Janet L. Attarian, AIA, is the Project Director for the Chicago Department of Transportation Streetscape and Sustainable Design Program and works to turn Chicago's streetscapes, riverwalks, and pocket parks into great urban places. Ms. Attarian's ability to meld the concepts of complete streets and ecological design led to the development of the City's Sustainable Streets Program and Green Alley Program, which has won numerous awards, including the 2007 ASLA Honor Award. Ms. Attarian speaks around the country on sustainable infrastructure and her work has been featured in the New York Times along with several other publications. Ms. Attarian has been a licensed architect since 1996, is a LEED accredited professional and has a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Michigan.

Nancy Schultz, P.E, D. WRE, CH2MHill: Sustainable Stormwater Management Evolution of Approach and Current Trends 
Nancy Schultz is a professional engineer with over 30 years experience evaluating and planning for control of wet weather impacts in urban areas. Nancy co-authored the WEF Guide to Managing Peak Wet Weather Flows in Municipal Wastewater Collection and Treatment Systems. Nancy managed the negotiation and development of technical guidance for the first stormwater management plan implemented throughout multiple municipalities in Illinois (DuPage County). She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University and is a Professional Engineer in multiple states, and was in one of the first classes awarded the honor of Diplomat of Water Resources Engineering.
