Statement on Tree of Life Tragedy 

On behalf of the Pittsburgh Section Board of Directors we express our deepest condolences and most steadfast solidarity to the friends and family of Tree of Life Synagogue victims. Violence and hate-crimes have no place in our city. ASCE unequivocally encourages and promotes diversity and inclusion in our organization, profession, and community.

We are most grateful to our local law enforcement authorities and first responders who demonstrated admirable courage in responding to this tragedy.

Pittsburgh is one of the country’s most resilient cities. We ask that you consider volunteer and donation opportunities to show kindness, compassion and support to those directly or indirectly impacted by this tragedy. The Steel City, the City of Bridges, our Pittsburgh stands Strong Together so that our healing and rebuilding may render positive outcomes.
