Unstabilized! - Where You Are Not Designing with Geogrid and Why

This presentation will cover the current state of the practice for using geogrid stabilized aggregates but will focus on project types where aggregates are often not being mechanically stabilized.
Traditional design methods will be considered, and Tensar software will be used to demonstrate value.
Steve is the North Area Engineer for Tensar, providing design solutions for foundation and pavement challenges, retaining walls, and steep slopes. Steve has been engineer of record for more than 400 mechanically stabilized wall, slope, and wearing surface projects around the country, and is licensed in 11 states.
Steve graduated from Penn State in civil engineering in 1993. He is a father of three and lives in Wexford, PA.
