Transportation and Development Institute

History:

The Transportation and Development Institute (T&DI) began in 2008 to provide a forum in Pittsburgh for civil engineers and others to discuss matters relevant to our  area of expertise in the profession and participation in the public decision making process.

ASCE National T&DI Mission:

To advance knowledge and practice in sustainable transportation and development.

ASCE Pittsburgh T&DI Mission:

To create a forum for civil engineers of all ages to engage in the broad aspects of the transportation sector from design to transportation funding. 

• Follow policy making activity at the state and federal levels, provide critical information to the policy makers and the public to which they report to assure that funding continues to occur for us to execute our responsibilities as stewards of the transportation backbone of our state and national economies.
