ASCE Forensic Engineering Division defines Forensic Engineering as “…the application of engineering principles to the investigation of failures or other performance problems.” This presentation will introduce design engineers to this other side of engineering, the investigation that happens when something in the built environment is damaged, fails, or simply fails to perform as intended. This includes investigating construction issues, design issues, weather damage, deterioration and more, documenting the investigation and its findings in detailed reports and occasionally testifying on those findings.
SEI Pittsburgh Chapter Committee meeting to follow at 1:00 PM – All are welcome to attend
