This course provides a comprehensive overview of soil improvement technologies used to address problematic soil conditions where traditional approaches or "remove and replace" strategies are not economically or technically feasible. Participants will explore the engineering principles, design considerations, and construction methodologies for a variety of techniques including densification, soil reinforcement, and consolidation. This course will focus on theory as well as case studies.
