In 2012, after over 50 years of overlooking the City of Pittsburgh, the Civic Arena (aka The Mellon Arena, aka The Igloo) was demolished to make way for redevelopment of the lower Hill District. This event’s presentation by Bud McCutcheon and George Boehm will focus on the construction history of the arena, how it performed as a structure and what it took to tear it down. We will have close up photographs and videos of aspects of the demolition undertaken by the Noralco Corporation that were not readily available to the public at large, showing you a side of building demolition you may not have experienced! Attendees will have the opportunity to receive 1 PDH for this seminar.

Attendees will have access to all exhibits at the PPG Aquarium. Catering will be provided by Taste of the Wild Catering and drinks will be provided by YMF.

Please bring an unwrapped toy or book for the annual YMF Toy Drive. Benefits the Brashear Association.
Parking for the event is located in the main zoo lot and a shuttle will take you to the PPG Aquarium.

Please RSVP by close of business Tuesday, November 26, 2013!

Please consider sponsoring this year’s December Dinner. Several affordable sponsorship levels are available! For more information please contact Lauren Dziagwa, lmdziagwa@tlcgroupeng.com
