    Geotechnical Engineer (48492)

    Langan is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join its collaborative team in Pittsburgh, PA. This individual will serve a key function in providing the planning and execution of field investigations, monitoring foundation and earthwork construction, identifying and implementing field and lab work solutions, and preparing logs and reports. In this role, you will have the opportunity to analyze geotechnical engineering problems, and assist in preparation of geotechnical engineering reports on large-scale and high-profile projects.

    Qualifications:

    •  Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required; Master’s degree with Geotechnical specialty or desire to pursue is preferred;
    • 0+ years of work-related experience;
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0;
    • EIT Certification, or current registration for FE exam;


    Senior Geotechnical Engineer (48214) 

    Langan is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join its collaborative team in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH. This individual will serve a key function providing the preparation of technical reports, specifications, plans, designing foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical aspects of construction. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner cross-functionally on premier land development projects.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required, Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering strongly preferred;
    • 3+ years of related geotechnical experience in geotechnical investigations and construction inspections;
    • FE/EIT certification preferred;
    • Office experience with investigation and field work coordination, geotechnical reports, and specification writing;
    • Prior field experience in: earthwork, driven and drilled pile construction, load testing, footings subgrade and backfill inspection, ground improvements, retaining wall design and construction, and excavation support system design and inspection;
    • Desired software knowledge: gINT, Slide/SLOPE/W, PLAXIS, LPILE, GRLWEAP, MSEW, SHAKE;


    Senior Traffic Engineer (48502)

    Langan is seeking a Senior Traffic / Transportation Engineer to join its collaborative team in Pittsburgh, PA. This individual will serve a key function in performing traffic & parking studies, transportation planning studies, traffic event management studies, and traffic signal/roadway design projects.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of engineers, working on exciting and meaningful projects across many different market sectors. Our work includes projects in professional and collegiate sports, healthcare, higher education, distribution, K-12, commercial, office, retail, mixed-use, and more.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
    • 3+ years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering, traffic impact studies, traffic signal warrants, parking studies, driveway & roadway design, and traffic signal design;
    • Current EIT licensure; P.E. a plus;
    • Experience with HCS, SYNCHRO, and the MUTCD is required; Knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation are a plus


    Project Traffic Engineer (48501)

    Langan is seeking a Project Traffic / Transportation Engineer to join its collaborative team in Pittsburgh, PA. This individual will serve a key function in managing as well as working on traffic & parking studies, transportation planning studies, traffic event management studies, and traffic signal/roadway design projects.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage and deliver on multiple exciting and challenging traffic and transportation projects.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
    • Possess valid Professional Engineer licensure;
    • 6+ years of experience in road, intersection, and traffic signal design;
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple clients and projects and to develop and manage project budgets;
    • Experience with HCS, SYNCHRO, and the MUTCD is required; Knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation are a plus;
