We have an opportunity for an Environmental Engineer Trainee to join our mission with the Pennsylvania’s Department of Environmental Protection in Crawford County, PA!
This full-time opportunity offers:
- A 1-year structured trainee program working alongside experienced engineers, leading to promotion to Environmental Engineering Specialist upon successful completion
- Regular Monday–Friday schedule
- Part-time telework (up to 3 days/week after probation)
- Travel limited to DEP's Northwest region
- Total compensation package valued at over $110,000
You’ll play a key role in Pennsylvania’s Safe Drinking Water Program by:
- Reviewing engineering plans for public water systems
- Conducting inspections and fieldwork
- Supporting water infrastructure improvements
- Providing technical consultation to public water systems
Minimum Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, or in any engineering field that includes or is supplemented by 9 credits in environmental engineering
- A valid PA Class C driver’s license
